We have booked our gap year via an amazing travel company called Gap 360. I have traveled via this company before so had zero hesitation to book with them again. The trip we are doing is called the Global 360, you can customise the trip to suit you which is what me and Tim have done. First up on our trip is Thailand (4/9/2022-28/9/2022)...
Week one:
The journey starts in Bangkok where we will take part in boat tours, temple visits and have the option for nights out (although me and Tim are not the most sociable creatures so we may opt for food and an early night!). What I am most looking forward to in week one is the trip to the Elephant camp where we will get to help feed, bathe and care for the Elephants. We finish week one with a hike in the Northern foothills and bamboo rafting.

Week two:
Internal flight to the South where we will spend time on Phi Phi (Tim is very excited for this). A boat trip around all the islands is going to be amazing. After this we move on to Ao Nang to kayak through the mangrove forests and finally Khao Sok National park where we will spend the night on a floating lake house.

Week three:
This week is all about relaxing and soaking up the sun on Koh Samuis beaches. There is more kayaking and snorkeling to be done at Ang Thong Marine park before we head over to Koh Phangan. This is much more of a 'party' based week which really isn't mine or Tims style so we will be spending this week exploring the beaches, reading books and trying lots of local food!

Week four:
Time for another boat trip, out to the best spots for snorkeling and kayaking via the island of Koh Nang Yuan. We travel back to Bangkok for the last night before moving on to Bali.

With Gap 360, all of our accommodation and transport are included in the Thailand part of the trip (which is absolutely fantastic). We do have the option to stay longer in Thailand but we feel like all the activities Gap 360 has planned are enough for us to fully experience Thailand.
Most excited for: The Elephant sanctuary and the floating lake house
Least excited for: Traveling to Chiang Mai overnight via bus
Will the Thailand leg of our gap year live up to our expectations? Follow along and find out in less than a years time!! There will be live updates on our instagram (@bilbo.h) and our blog will be updated regularly leading up to, and hopefully during, our traveling.
